Emma and Matt went on their first date on June 5th, 2021, deciding on casual drinks at a local brewery. After the typical first date questions, there was a clear spark, and the couple quickly bonded over their love for Portland dining, cheesy rom-coms, skiing, traveling, and cheering on the Ducks and Blazers.

On October 1st, 2023, Matt surprised Emma and proposed at the finish line of her half marathon. They were joined by over 20 friends and family members at the race, making it an extra special day! Their engagement was also featured in the Oregonian Newspaper.

Aside from getting engaged, this has been a big year for Emma and Matt! They bought their first home together and welcomed their golden retriever puppy, Sage, into their family. Emma and Matt are excited to continue to build their lives together as husband and wife!
